London General Omnibus Company Maps

Last updated 2 July 2008

London General issued monthly bus maps, not occasionally combining a couple of issues into one. A map of the route network was on one side, with full route details plus an index on the other.

The first London General Omnibus Company map was issued in 1911, and featured only 23 routes. The slogans “Open Air to Everywhere” and “Travel Above Ground” were quickly abandoned after the company became part of the Underground group a year later.
