(1946)

446 1040F. 20M
Green Line services resumed after the war in February 1946, so this is a very early example of the map and details of the coach services, now numbered in the 7×× series. It is printed in dark blue, rather than the normal green, and with no frills due to austerity conditions.

546.1643F.25,000
A fold-out leaflet giving details of the Green Line Coach Services as at May 1946, immediately after their full reinstatement following wartime curtailment; however, it is still printed in blue.

(September 1946)

No. 1 1947
The first of the “proper” post-war Green Line maps, this has the main map on one side with several outer and inner area continuation maps on the other. It includes an abbreviated index to places served, but no list of routes. This style of cover was only issued in 1947 and 1948.

1970

670/LC 419s/100,000
London Country produced its first Green Line Coach Map in London Transport style, with a network map on one side and list of routes, Central Area map, etc on the other. The large bullseye—which had been a feature of the cover for the last two decades—was replaced with a drawing of one of the ill-fated RC-class Reliance Coaches signed for the 703, while the new “flying polo” corporate logo appears lower down, almost as an afterthought.
1971

171/LC 27s/100M
London Country issued two very different styles of Green Line Coach Maps in 1971. Both have a network map on one side and list of routes, Central Area map, etc. on the other, but the style and layout of the covers are different.
