This bus stop sign was used by the Thames Valley Traction Company at request stops. It is made in black and white enamel on metal. It was in use for a good number of years before being replaced. The sign is unusual in that it is tray-shaped as it has a 5⁄32" (4 mm) lip all around one side and in each of the two sides of that lip there are two holes, so that the sign could be bolted to the bus stop pole. It is approximately 16" x 15" (41 x 38 cm) and weighs about 51⁄4 pounds (2.4 kg).
